You can clearly see some legit separation in SEC at the halfway mark

Top tier - Tennessee, Alabama and probably UGA (even though they've not played a sole).
Bottom tier - Vandy, Auburn and Mizzou....these three are clearly awful teams
Middle tier....still a large pack that some teams will form an upper middle class and rest will be bottom middle class. Ky, USC, Ole Miss, LSU I think are trending toward upper middle class with Texas AM, Miss St, Arkansas, Florida trending toward lower middle class.

Ky blew it vs. Ole miss....they are not a really good team, and we simply fumbled it away. USC is a very aggressive D and special teams...so that loss isn't as bad as many made it out to be. Ky simply has to win one of Tennessee or UGA to be considered a good year. I am not confident we can get one as the pack has begun to separate to me.

UK is not a top tier team this year. The loses to USC and Ole Miss proves it. Top tier teams lose players to injury and still find a way to win. CRod missing the first four games did more to hurt this team than losing their QB. Why? It made the first games, the so called easy games much harder Top tier teams give the second string experience so they don’t have a back up going into, at the time, the biggest game of the year, with zero experience.

Yeah, I think we agree. OP had us middle tier. Did he edit his original version and he had us top tier or what? Help me understand your reply.

I actually think beating UGA is a possibility. UT not so much.
We are 13 point dogs to UT. The early line for UT/ UGA is UGA -13. I think we have a much better chance against UT. Stoops has done absolutely nothing against Georgia.

UGA has play and blew out a current top 10, played and beaten a current top 25. Until UT beat Bama the Oregon win was as big a win as anyone in the conference. Right now we have one common opponent, we did pretty well against Crackolina. All you can do is play your schedule.

I kind of think we lose both the UT and UGA games and win the rest. Maybe if we had UT at home this year we could have gotten a win. I don't think folks realize how much better UGA is. We do not have a better shot of beating them than UT even at home.

Come on Grumpy. Oregon and Bo nix are frauds. Ky, Ole Miss USC and probably Arkansas would win over those dudes

UGA gets their chance to prove they’re legit vs Tennessee and that is about the only great team you’ll play in regular season

I think you will find that the SEC is the SEC and someone you consider elite will be beaten by someone you think shouldn’t beat them by your assessment . Rinse and repeat then yawn the league is full of future NFL players these projections mean nothing you can be a good team and lose its just the way it is.

Maybe those teams would, but of the 4, 1 has a win over Lanning when he was our DC. Only an idiot wouldn't think UT won't be a test, hopefully they don't get all the calls like they did with Bama.

Yes....UT got about every weird pass interference call that kept them in game, non call on targetting/hitting QB directly in helmet, etc.... I was stunned that lower rung SEC power Tennessee got all those calls vs. Saban (I bet Saban was sort of surprised as well).

I never mentioned the vols being low rung, they are clearly a top, maybe top team in the conference this season. But they got some calls that helped them with Bama that usually goes Bama's way
