They beat us head to head, they get itWe very well could be tied with SC. What happens then for the 4th spot?
Unless Bama loses at Florida which would not surprise meAuburn's last 2 games are against 2 of the worst teams in the SEC in UGA and Missou. We have Vandy and UT. Unless we win out, we will likely be 5th.

When you lose to teams like lsu, a&m and flurida at home.....you're in this situation.
Florida is not a bad loss other than how we lost to them (and at home) but they have been playing everyone extremely tough. Don’t care what seed we end up with in SECT or NCAA. I’m a chip and chair type person, to win it all you have to beat some really good teams along the way, doesn’t matter when that takes place. When you lose to teams like lsu, a&m and flurida at home.....you're in this situation.
Beat the teams you're supposed to beat.
That LSU loss is the worst of the three. When you lose to teams like lsu, a&m and flurida at home.....you're in this situation.
Beat the teams you're supposed to beat.
This is what makes them a bad loss you are up 4 with 28 seconds left at home you can't lose that game....in fact you can't lose that game even if you are on the road.Florida is not a bad loss other than how we lost to them (and at home)
So the problem with Tennessee being the #1 seed is we would finish the likely #5 seed if we lost at Tennessee.
Not only need to play Thursday vs either Arkansas or Georgia most likely the quarters will be against probably Auburn, Alabama or South Carolina which is brutal
Then if we win that followed up with Tennessee in the Semis and a chance to go 0-3 vs them.
Would much rather had Bama the #1, and Tenn 2/3 if we are the 5.
If we beat Tennessee who knows how all this shakes out we could be the 1-2-3-4. (I think maybe not 1 who knows)
I said how we lost to them was a bad loss but losing to Florida in of itself was not. They are a really good team, playing really good ball at the moment. But yes it was an all systems fail and almost was again at state and that would have been worse blowing an 8 point lead with just under 1:00 to go.This is what makes them a bad loss you are up 4 with 28 seconds left at home you can't lose that game....in fact you can't lose that game even if you are on the road.
We had to fail in 4 different spots in this ending to lose and we failed in all 4
They shot and missed all we had to do was get the rebound and game was over but they got the offensive rebound and put back with 13 seconds left they cut it to 2.
Then our smart coach has Reed throw the ball inbounds instead of being the one to catch the ball to get the FT's and while Reed is only our 2nd best FT shooter (Reeves #1) he has not missed a FT all year I don't think in the final minute of a game. Even if he has he is who you want to have the ball to end the game.
Yes Dilly is a solid FT shooter he was like 80% at the time but he missed the FT so that was fail #2
Then we could have fouled up 3 or Reed could have not left Clayton when you are up 3 with 5 seconds left you never ever ever leave anyone alone at the 3 point line let alone their best shooter. Fail #3
Then we can't get off a closing shot in the final 3 seconds and then lose in OT Fail #4
All that makes it a terrible loss.
We may be seeing you on ThursdayHad a great non-conference and started 4-2 in the league, now 5-11 in league play. Just an awful stretch for Mike White. I knew the brunt of league play would be tough with the league as strong as it is. And yes, I know the talent still isn’t where it needs to be, but I guess I was hoping we could get somewhere in that 8-9 league win mark. Instead, we may finish with a worse league record than his first season. Brutal.
God help us if so.We may be seeing you on Thursday
I was assuming we have to win out. Zero chance we lose a 6th game and get a 4 in SEC-T.Bama losing to Florida only gives them 5 losses.
So we would still have to win out to finish ahead of them.

I thought Georgia was a surprise team early season. Mike White looked like a COTY nominee. Brutal.Had a great non-conference and started 4-2 in the league, now 5-11 in league play. Bottom line. UK needs to win its next two games. So the problem with Tennessee being the #1 seed is we would finish the likely #5 seed if we lost at Tennessee.

They are still somewhat dangeorus. Their guard play is good. But the rest of that team just….isn’t. Georgia is a tough program to take over. That is THE football school outside of Bama right now. I can’t imagine trying to build interest and recruit there.I thought Georgia was a surprise team early season. Mike White looked like a COTY nominee. Brutal.
If there are four teams tied with the same record, the record between those teams decides who is number one, two, three and four. If you can't decide it there, then I think you go back to their record against each other and then to the next highest team in the league. We win out we get top 4. We lose to UT we get 5th.
What happens if there is like a 4 or 5 way tie at 13 and 5?
Say bama loses to FL.
UT loses out.
Uk wins out.
SC loses to MSU
Auburn wins out.
Lol.
GA has good in-state basketball talent. Due to Atlanta. They are still somewhat dangeorus. Their guard play is good. But the rest of that team just….isn’t. Georgia is a tough program to take over. That is THE football school outside of Bama right now. I can’t imagine trying to build interest and recruit there.
That being said COTY goes to Lamont Paris. Can’t stand them but he’s done amazing at USC.

When there's just two teams tied, you go head to head.
Let's say there's a miracle and there's a five-way tie at 13 and 5. UK would be three and two against the group.
Every one of Cal’s UK Final 4 teams made it to the SEC Tournament Championship game(2011, 2012, 2014, 2015). Can this team do the same?
Very possible.Unless Bama loses at Florida which would not surprise me
3 and 2 beats 4-3.Interesting. I think we would be top 3 then but UT would be 4 and 3 compared to SC and UKs 3 and 2.
Auburn and Bama have both lost at least 3 to the others.
UGA has Nique's son coming in next year. They are still somewhat dangeorus. Their guard play is good. But the rest of that team just….isn’t. Georgia is a tough program to take over. That is THE football school outside of Bama right now. I can’t imagine trying to build interest and recruit there.

3 and 2 beats 4-3.
Ha! You people are crazy! When you lose to teams like lsu, a&m and flurida at home.....you're in this situation.
Beat the teams you're supposed to beat.
