Two things that stand out to me. No one with more than a 3 game winning streak and Georgia the only team with only 1 road loss. Everyone else 2 or more road losses with only 4-5 road games played. Speaks volumes if you ask me.
Everyone always freaks out after a road conference loss, but it's always been that way. In most years going undefeated at home and .500 on the road will win the SEC. That should be the goal every year for UK in conference. Two things that stand out to me. No on with more than 3 game winning streak and Georgia the only team with only 1 road loss. Kind of funny to look at considering we’ve lost five games. Lost to Oregon, Providence, and Miami in preseason tournaments neutral site. We’ve played pretty well on the road. Two things that stand out to me. No one with more than a 3 game winning streak and Georgia the only team with only 1 road loss. Everyone else 2 or more road losses with only 4-5 road games played. Speaks volumes if you ask me.
Nationally, in the power conferences, only UNC (9) and UConn (7), have won more than 4 games in a row. Only 2 teams (Purdue and Colorado) have won 4 in a row. UNC's last loss was to UK.Two things that stand out to me. No one with more than a 3 game winning streak and Georgia the only team with only 1 road loss. Since 1973 UK has won 60.7% of our SEC road games.Everyone always freaks out after a road conference loss, but it's always been that way. In most years going undefeated at home and .500 on the road will win the SEC. That should be the goal every year for UK in conference.
I completely get it, the people who lose their minds over losses don't. Parity is increasing every year with NIL and the portal. The days of losing 1-5 games in the regular season are all but over.Nationally, in the power conferences, only UNC (9) and UConn (7), have won more than 4 games in a row. Only 2 teams (Purdue and Colorado) have won 4 in a row. UNC's last loss was to UK.
It’s one thing to lose by a few points. It’s another to get absolutely dominated and put off your game; getting drummed by double digits.Everyone always freaks out after a road conference loss, but it's always been that way. In most years going undefeated at home and .500 on the road will win the SEC. That should be the goal every year for UK in conference.
The issue is our previous performance the last three years. And the fact other top teams (UNC, KU, etc) have not crapped out in the tourney as badly as we have. Look at UNC. Kicking butt after missing last years tourney. Cal should be on fire trying to destroy every team we play.I completely get it, the people who lose their minds over losses don't. The game changes, but its hard for people to grasp that concept. I hate to lose as much as anyone and I think both UNCW and South Carolina are losses we should have never had. I also realize it happens and is happening everywhere not just at UK. That's the simple reality of it, it doesn't mean that suddenly we are a first weekend team.

And it’s our only good quality win technically speaking. We did beat UNC.
Fully agree.UK can’t afford to go 0-2 this week, need to be dialed in on Saturday and play a full 40.
Auburn, Tenn, and alabama only have one conference loss total, so how do they have 2 road losses? Two things that stand out to me. A non conference road loss?Auburn, Tenn, and alabama only have one conference loss total, so how do they have 2 road losses?
UT and Auburn will absolutely maul them if they do not toughen up and start putting bodies on people in the paint and beyond.
Do you actually want the answer or do you need to think about that for a couple minutes?Auburn, Tenn, and alabama only have one conference loss total, so how do they have 2 road losses?
The freak out has more to do with Cal than the actual outcomes of the game themselves. The freak out is coming to the realization that despite the most talented roster we have had in sometime that little. If anything, has changed with cal. We are stuck watching a season play out wondering what things would look like with a halfway decent head coach instead of the idiot now in charge. I don’t mind the losses, it’s part of it, but the bigger picture is what is scary and not fun to look at.I completely get it, the people who lose their minds over losses don't. He originally put up a post about conference losses. The OOC losses don't count when they align the SEC Tournament. We have 2 conf losses and Auburn, Alabama and Tenn have one each.Do you actually want the answer or do you need to think about that for a couple minutes?
