Wasn't it Jim Harrick who got in trouble at Georgia for fake classes? He was fired immediately, unlike Roy Boy Williams.
Yeah, and when Bruce Pearl got in trouble at UT, Vitale ranted about how if he had done that at any other school, he would have already been fired. BTW, that was even BEFORE the investigation substantiated any of the charges.
Also BTW, Roy got an extension and a raise for his cheating. UNC is a total cesspool of corruption.
He was HNIC when the cheating was most prominent. Of course he hasn't said anything.
For those who don't know, he is the former AD of UNC when many of the violations happened so about the only thing he is going to say is: "We got away with it when I was at UNC!" He is part of the cesspool.
I've taken the position of 'I'll believe it when I see it' regarding any major penalties handed out over UNCheat's decades of faux classes and special incentives for athletes. If Sankey wants to actually prove what others are saying about him (that's he's tough and a no-nonsense academics guy) then step up and have the balls to nail those cheaters to the wall. Otherwise, he's just another empty suit.

Considering the paying of players by boosters, jewelry, houses for parents, jobs for parents, and K letting two players accused of sexually assaulting females play on the team.

This might be your dumbest post yet. I've been critical of Duke but they aren't even on the same planet as UNC in the cheating department. To argue otherwise is basically to admit to have an IQ lower than a squid.
So, fake classes is "on another planet" worse to you than allowing sexual predators on campus and on your team. Jesus man, are you freaking serious right now? I can understand your disgust with UNC, but fake classes is no where near as bad as raping girls. Damn guy, what the f&%$?
For the record, I wasn't really replying to that part of your post anyway. This thread is focused on academics. The stuff about sexual assault should be a completely different thread.....But, having said that:
That ordeal was never proven. As much as I would like to condemn Duke for it, I can't honestly do so based on such limited knowledge. We went thru this with the Lacrosse team. We see how that turned out.
Whether we like it or not, we do understand the principle in America of innocent until proven guilty. I realize that is a legal principle but even as much as I think it may well have happened, there is still some serious room for doubt.
