SEC’s League Performance

We've been the best league for the past 20 years or so. We may not be the best league this year but we're probably due for a down year at some point. This may be it. Next year when Texas and Oklahoma are added we'll be on top again.

Texas, FSU, Miami, UNC, Wake Forest...Pretty solid teams.

This is the fruit of NIL and transfer portal coming to bare. The playing field was always going to even out a bit once players could start earning money and hit what is essentially free agency.

The same 6-8 teams dominating every year wasn't good long term for the game competitively or business side of house.

I wouldn't worry about comparing ourselves to other conferences when 3 of them are on life support and may not even be around in 5 years.

1-6...these other conferences are about to be 0-12 when they lose all their teams.

Had NIL and portal/free agency come around 10 years ago, these other conferences might not be in the predicament that they are in. I mean Prime with a new roster via NIL and portal could've single handedly saved the Pac 12. They will command top billing, "prime" time slots, and big advertising dollars next year in the B12 and may actually breathe a little life into that conference.

Hard to disagree with this. east has Missouri, UK, UT, UGA at 2-0, not a good win in the group. West has State, Arky, OM, and AU undefeated. OM's win lost some luster with Tulane's QB being out, but no other impressive wins. I know I am not excited about how UGA has played, from reading the board not many of yall are thrilled with UK so far. This could be a year SEC is the team out when the 4 teams are announced. Won't be a shocker to see a Big10, Pac12, Big12 and ACC to have an undefeated champion. But no one in SEC looks like it can go 12-0
