Many on here have always mentioned Miller as a replacement choice for Cal, when he retires, a choice I have always questioned. Sounds like there are a lot of serious questions regarding Arizona in this investigation by the FBI. Does Miller have fear of his job now or do you all think he is going to skate off with no problem? Also, how do those of you who favored him as a future UK coach feel about him coming here now after hearing the stuff that really makes AZ look pretty bad?

Umm hell yeah he has fear of losing his job. Sounds to me like Arizona is worse off than anyone.

Similar situation to Louisville in my estimation. His assistant Book, is facing 60 years in prison and up to 1.5 million dollar fine. Gotta think Arizona benefitted and Sean Miller is top man, so sink with the ship Cap’n.

Before this, would've loved to have him as a replacement. A little early to say how this affects him (or maybe it's not, I haven't really paid attention to the zona side of things). Suffice it to say if he cheated, don't want em.

Book had been with Miller 11 years. That's very telling. Some are even wondering if Miller may have been 'bending the rules' at Xavier.

It's pretty dumb to brag about how you never wanted Miller as if you had some idea that this was going on.

If you're talking about me then you are way off base, mister. I never said I knew anything about Miller. I never wanted him here because he has had a ton of talent and never even sniffed a Final Four. I never wanted him here because I just don't think he's that great. Good recruiter but produces nothing. Cal is a great recruiter but has been to many Final Fours and won one. So, again, if you are attacking me you are so totally wrong in your assessment.

Never wanted Miller because I don't think he's a great coach and now we know his recruiting relies on player payment. It doesn't matter if Miller knew or not, he hired a guy that did. Either Miller is a terrible judge of character or clearly doesn't have control over his staff, any coach should make absolutely clear that paying players will not be tolerated.

Worst case is Miller knew or turned a blind eye, any way you slice it he's responsible as the head coach. Posters wanted him primarily for his recruiting, which we find out now how he was pulling it off.

Seen a few articles and a former US Attorney said more than likely they are looking at 27-36 months.

I still like Miller a lot better than most if this is his first run-in with the authorities. But he is ultimately responsible for what happens within the program. He was clean at Xavier as I recall...as if the NCAA ever has a clue about anything unlawful.

Don't need Miller here. He flames out early in the tourney and under performs with the talent he has.

I guess Romar will have to step up with his capel like coaching abilities and lead them to the national championship. If they have 3 players on their team that got paid no way miller keeps his job. They will be punished severely and went from a serious contender to lucky if they can beat Pepperdine

To be fair, if we didn't take a chance on problem coaches, we'll.. You know where I'm going.

But no, we don't not want Miller because of what may be happening.. We don't want him because he can't get his team to a F4. Cal did it at Memphis and UMass with less talent. Miller hasn't proven he can be a top5 program kind of coach.

this scandal might be so wide that Miller will still be considered an excellent recruiter - getting the most bang for the buck.

seriously, can you imagine being the coach that spent hundreds of thousands of dollars and you ended up with Dakota Euton? That's the guy no one will respect...plus his guys all wear Converse or LAGear sneakers.

Where does this allegation come from? I keep seeing it repeated and I cannot find any type of support for it.
Seriously though. I've seen that posted on this forum a few times the past 2 days but no one cites a source or any links and I can't find any other chatter about this anywhere else on the internet. Someone created a thread on this yesterday but until I see a legitimate source as to where this is coming from I believe a UK fan on this forum just made that rumor up.

Never wanted him as coach. Archie is much better. I never thought he would even be considered at UK. It's Billy D's job after Cal retires if he wants it.

Reminds me of Hal Mumme getting busted for paying to get a campus visit from Albert Means, a player that ended up being second team All-Conference USA. Keystone cops cheating.

Guy has been to 7 Sweet 16s and 4 Elite Eights. Hasn't ever gotten over the hump, but it isn't as bad as people make it out.

Looks to be in a tight spot right now.
