Karl-Anthony Towns was unstoppable in the second half. He went 8-for-8 from the field, all on postups, three from one block and five from the other. Notre Dame couldn't handle him 1-on-1, either in preventing him from getting good entry positioning or from making his move toward the basket, and when they sent help it was ineffective and opened up outside shots.
