Same start as last week: Butterfingers Baker

Not only did he catch it, but he took almost a full step after and just dropped it

I disagree tbcat, both florida players fell down they were both on the ground. Zero excuse for baker to dtop it. And by the way, he dropped the hail mary at the end of the half too. The kid absolutely has a problem catching the ball

If Baker makes that catch, its 7-0 us, instead of 7-0 them in that 3 min span. Turns out, the whole complexity changed, and we didn't even score a touchdown. Patrick is playing as bad as a QB can play, but Dorian dropping key balls 2 weeks in a row, he has some responsibility in this loss for sure

All we have heard is how good the UK receivers are. Baker has to make that play. Changed the game imo. UF intercepts and the air went out of t he stadium. Towle was like a deer in headlights in the pocket.

Defense did it's part. Dawson was way too predictable. Either doesn't trust Towles or the O-line. Bad game plan. Stoops has to try and get Barker some game experience because the schedule only gets tougher.

In Baker's defense, that could have been called PI on Hargreaves, too, b/c he ran into Baker before he looked back.

True, I've watched the replay. Hargreaves was hanging all over Baker right before that ball arrived. It wasn't as easy as some are making it.

True it was interference but Hargraves fell down before the all arrived and Baker had no excuse not to catch it

Every rec drops plays. Agree it was a big one but come on now, kid is a solid talent and will make plays. UL's stud rec dropped a TD in the Clemson game

Could have called PI there, but he should've caught it. Catching that would've been a 14 point swing considering UF picked of a pass on the same drive that set up a short TD.

He's a good talent, though. I'm willing to bet he rebounds from it.

A receiver that keeps dropping passes, is like a point guard in basketball that can't shoot. Sooner or later its going to cost you a game or games.

Baker is a physical specimen but means nothing if he keeps dropping very catchable passes. I think sometimes he gets too jacked up and loses focus. At some point he has to make crucial plays to remain a primary target. I want to see more guys get reps and see what they can do. Snodgrass was a 4 star recruit. He has had limited snaps and no balls thrown his way so it's hard to know what he has.

In his defense, Baker did make a number of very difficult catches on those slants at South Carolina with a defender draped on his back, so I don't think it's entirely fair to say that he has bad hands. He's had two really critical drops, but he's a huge target and I believe will help us win a lot of games. He's still very young and developing...hopefully the drops will be a thing of the past.

He was facing the ball which is the easiest catch to make , no excuse for that drop . If it was over the shoulder or something then yea you can overlook it but that is as basic a reception as you're going to see . I thought good hands was a prerequisite for being a receiver , this may be one of those situations where find the physical attributes and try to make them into a receiver .

My question is, why the hell does Juice Johnson only have one catch in the game? He is easily our best player and second best playmaker on the field. We need to stop bringing him in motion as a decoy and get him the ball in space.

I agree and have thought that Johnson is our best receiver going back to last year . He makes catches when it's thrown his way , not sure why he doesn't get more passes in his direction .

We win the game if Dorian in Grey makes that catch.
Hopefully that sin was projected on to his likeness in a painting.

***THIS*** It actually happened twice, but it is very difficult for a receiver who is being interfered with to that degree to shed the defender and still catch the ball. That's why there is a rule against it, and if the refs do their job there, we likely score 7 on the next play, and at the very least, 3. Not only did this rob points from us, but it also made us throw away from Hargraves as the night went on, limiting the field of play. The Cats had their chances, but the special treatment of Hargraves was as a bigger deal than most people realize.

Very true, people are forgetting the catches Baker DOES make.
