Royce White

That article didn't even address the issue when he was in the NBA. He couldn't travel. Are we supposed to expect teams to let him only play home games? Now, I will say that the team who drafted him knew of his illness, so they probably shouldn't have picked him in the first place. That said, not everyone is a good fit for the NBA. Mental illnesses can be treated, but that doesn't mean that the league has to accommodate anyone with a mental illness. I don't know if his travel fear has been resolved in Canada or not.

That could make for an interesting case under the ADA.

My wife has the same disorder, and it's a b to manage, so I empathize with him there. But, his demeanor on the court turned me off big time.

Well, how did he get THERE????[winking]

He was excepted to transfer to UK, but his anxiety disorder stopped him.

I don't seem to recall that at all

I cannot fly. I will pass out before I get to the terminal. I've flown twice in my life, once over an ocean. I felt like I was in hell.

Me and dude could write a book together.

It sucks, man.

I can fly just fine. Tried to fly with the wife and GD she caused a scene ... boarding the plane. We ended up eating that ticket and driving to our destination. I wasn't pleased. I learned that in order for her to fly, I'd have to fill her full of Xanax and Weekend At Bernie's style drag her through the airport.

Really? Take a few xanax next time, you'll be fine. If I'm gunna die a firey plane crash wouldn't be the worst way and my family would get paid

I used to fly a lot, but haven't for years. But flying over the ocean was actually the least troublesome for me. Most crashes happen soon after takeoff or on landing. You seldom hear of accidents over an ocean.

White has a great PR team and this is the least of his problems. Guy lives a dirty life and has too many messes. Until he's held accountable for such, never expect things to change.

Exactly right. Most flights fly over land. Wanna make me happy, make a seat that can bounce out of a cornfield.

Except dropping out of the sky and hitting the ocean is like hitting concrete......I drink two or three glasses of champagne as soon as I get seated and I am able to not think of going down.

To the chagrin of your S.O. I'm guessing.

But the one incident of the plane disappearing, Malaysia airlines?

That's the only thing I'm able to think about.

I'm not worried about the plane crashing. I'm worried about having no room to move. Seats are made for jockeys.

What's all this hate with Harrow? All I remember was that he had a sick dad and he couldn't stay focused. Care to explain why he's not kinda well liked here on board?? I agree Royce was insane, but he was pretty good.

I think he was going to visit uk and commit, but didn't make the flight because of his fear. At least that's how I remember it. It wasn't a transfer. Could be wrong.

EDIT: Looks like according to that article, the OP was correct. He was looking at UK as a transfer.

Nothing for her to be embarrassed about. It usually takes about 8hrs to fly to England. I hit me three quick champagnes and go to sleep until it is time to eat breakfast before we land. I didn't infer that I got crazy drunk.

I was just making a "going down joke".

Harrow's dad had a @$%^#ing MAJOR STROKE in another state just as the season was getting started and most people will NEVER forgive him for letting it affect his game. Soulless little bitches.

At times during our tourney game with them in 2012, he did look like the best prospect on the court. That's saying A LOT.

It is a shame that he could never put everything together.

Thank you very much for explaining. I appreciate that. I thought Harrow was a good player when focused.
17/5/3/2 against UL at their place without a single turnover. He wasn't John Wall but no way was he as bad as people want to make him. If my dad was drooling and shaking in a wheelchair 300 miles away I'd have been a basket case a lot of the time too.
