Former UK commit and legacy Quinton Baker will attend a junior day at Louisville on Wednesday.

he decommitted from UK less than an hour after our loss to UL

might be some hard feelings in the Stoops staff towards him & his actions

He's a good running back. He's not elite but very good. He's also a legacy back that I hope doesn't end up at UoflL. However depending upon how a few other things shake out Later in the year he may not be a take for UK.

He could commit to UL tomorrow, doesn't mean he will end up there.....48 hours before signing date he may be looking for a new school. How do you trust them?

mrschwump..."How many 5'8" RBs does UK take".......

my thoughts exactly.....Boom, Kemp, King, are all small in stature....other than Horton we don't have any big bruising backs that you need in the SEC. So if Baker goes elsewhere it would not hurt my feelings one bit. Best of luck to him.

We have one this year, albeit, one very, very good one.

No inside info. But it really seems to me the kid didn't have a committable offer. I think that's why he committed then decommitted so quickly.

No offense at all to the kid, but I don't see him as a player this staff gives an early committable offer.

How many spread offenses have big backs? Ohio State I guess but I'd be willing to argue that they are more of a flex bone offense ran from the gun than they are a spread.

Between Horton, and having 2 Big Athletic QBs, the need for a bruiser right now is minimal. Kemp and Boom both hover around 200 pounds anyway.

If we bring in a larger back in 2016, he will be a true frosh when Horton is a junior. It is time to bring in another in the mold. You must look at the future, not just the present.

I would hope UK can find better running backs that want to sign with Kentucky and not have to worry about Quinton Baker. He decommitted so that tells me he was not really sold on UK. We should be able to do better and I think we will. Let's move on from Quinton Baker and improve our team.

He may, but Stoops has already recruited over him by signing King. Our 2016 class will include 1 or 2 running backs as good or better. I don't lose any sleep over Baker.

I think he may be going elsewhere since the staff has had little to no contact with him since he decommitted. I won't hurt my feelings any, it's not like he's a 5.9 4 star or so running back.

This is good news.

Which is another reason I think he didn't have a committable offer. No offense to this kid, but hes not the caliber of player this staff gives a committable offer so far in advance.

He certainly had a commitable offer when he was committed to UK. The coaches were/are trying to lock down the state's best players and Baker is one of those. But he's not a rare talent as some have mentioned and we he de-committed it seemed to really piss off Coach Stoops and by all accounts Kentucky stopped recruiting him. For awhile Baker was still saying UK was his favorite team but I think he's realized now that he blew it and has moved on. I believe any chance for him was lost when we signed our Georgia RB.

Maybe he will get a grayshirt offer...
Probably, but only if he commits to BP, and then only at the last possible minute.
