Rondo and Cousins went off on OKC tonight

Cousins should be having nights near that every night. Nice to see WCS finally back. Might take a few games to get back in to the swing of things.

Cousins with 33 points, 2 blocks, 19 rebounds; Rondo with 13 points, 19 assists, 9 rebounds.

Cauley-Stein had a good game too, for only 15 minutes of play.

Cauley Stein went out late in the game after slicing his middle finger on the backboard. Apparently needs a few stitches. Luckily this was not the same finger (but the same hand) that he dislocated earlier and just got back from that injury.

It's funny watching Rondo have huge outings game after game this season. I remember before the season ever started so many Kentucky fans held the opinion that Rondo's career was all but over and he would never be the elite leader he once was. It looks to me like Rondo is still one of the best point guards in the game and that doesn't look to change anytime soon. Keep it up, Rondo!

Rondo is so underrated but he will be in the NBA Hall Of Fame

He could end up making it. He'll be 30 years old in a month and he's already approaching 5,200 career assists.

If he finishes this year out injury free, he'll easily break the 5,600 mark. If he can put together another 5 years of at least 50 games at 8 assists per/game, that puts him at 7,600 assists by the time he's 35.

That's a conservative estimate that allows him semi-low assist numbers (for him) and as many as 32 games off per season on average. If he stays relatively healthy, he could pass the 9,000 mark or even make a push for 10,000 (if he goes deep into his thirties).

I think he'll ultimately surpass the 8,000 career assist mark. That will put him close to the top ten all-time (Strickland is currently #10 at 7,987, but Chris Paul is right around the corner). Given his ability for triple doubles and the fact that he's won a title, that can only bolster his case.
