That’s the sad fact. Anyone with general football knowledge can.
it’s just a job for retired pros or college sports guys that couldn’t make the cut.
Some are really good at it. Most are shills.
Harper is just going to take credit for getting UK fired up. Claims he gets partial credit for the win.
The entire SEC network are like gonzo journalists. They report what they want to happen instead of being objective.
Difference is, uk fans tune into ksr expecting and wanting it to be pro UK. When you turn on ESPN, you are hoping to get some neutral interesting analysis. And while they have plenty of guys who do that, it is mostly infotainment with people riding hype trains.
I know some won't like this, but I don't like when things are taken out of context or not given their full context.
So, to be fair, if you watch the entire clip, Roman Harper was saying the OL looked soft in the first game compared to what he has now come to expect from a Stoops coached UK team. So in all honesty, he wasn't crapping on the program, but it was a reflection of how much he views the UK program as legit based on the last few years.
Either way, I'm glad Stoops and the team used it as a little extra motivation to play with a little more chip on their shoulders
How is "Florida is going to win this game and win it handedly" not disrespecting EVERYTHING CMS has built at UK.
Picking a first year coach with an inexperienced QB to beat your team handedly that it has taken you 10 years to build is a slap to the face of CMS and UKFB.
CMS took it that way and so did I. I heard his cute little discourse live. Finebaum is a UT douche bag who is the worst at disrespecting all things UK.

He knew exactly what he was saying when he said it. He jumped on that “greatest quarterback “ in the history of the game bullshit that was spewed out by every know it all prick all week in the media. Kirk Herbstreit is the only guy who actually looked at the situation and made an informed prediction. He knows just a little bit about college football. Wait for the Mississippi game, they will all call us soft again. Keep it up

It’s just the odd comment about us being soft. Sure, there’s lots of analysts who probably thought Florida would win the game. But who thinks a Mark Stoops team is soft for crying out loud? Really a strange thing to say.

His job is to give hot takes. You hit some you miss some. He whiffed on this one bad.
I understand what you are saying about first year coach, etc, and that’s a totally valid point.
I was really thinking about his perception the team (especially the OL) looked much worse the first game of the season compared to the higher expectations he has grown to have for a Stoops coached team.
He followed that up with this little zinger.
“It’s going to look dominant. I’m not trending toward a blowout, but it is in the Swamp and they do play better, they do play differently,”
Roman is a good guy and didn’t do it because he hates us. He was trying to give a hot take and he swing and missed. He’s had moments where he’s been in on our side too just didn’t come out so brash trying to do the hit take.
Lot of our fan base had similar opinions this week. Hell, herrosheroes threw in the towel on the season when we were down 7 to Miami.
These talking heads have their opinions, just like us, no one really knows what's going to happen - they get paid to give their opinions, I never rely on them.
And then went all in on SEC championship when we won the game.🤣🤣🤣
