Makes me sad, I grew up watching him call the early season UKTV games that were always carried on WKYT and WYMT. Some of my fondest UK memories watching those games with family that has since passed on. Good luck in your retirement Rob!
Same here...it's like a small piece of my youth fading away. Good memories from ole' Rob.

It always made me happy when I went back to Lexington to turn on channel 27 and see Rob still there. He started when I was at UK. I will miss him!

I know everyone loves the SEC Network, but the side effect of that is no more UKTV network.

I know the production values weren't great, but it had that down home Kentucky feeling.

When I think of Rob Bromley, and all those commercials like Purnell's Sausage, Kentucky Farm Bureau, the old Double Quick gas station, Whitaker Bank, etc., it brings back so many great memories of UK athletics.

Gonna miss you, Rob Bromley.

I can even remember back to Denny Trease when Rob was the sideline guy. Rob has been around a long time. WKYT legend.

Rob is a very classy person, his announcing games was a snore fest and I couldn't stand that. But he is still a very likeable guy.

I do miss the old TV ads. Big business now.

Sad to hear! Great man and been listening to him since my childhood. Always associated hearing his voice on Big Blue Sports Network with the new start of a season of Kentucky Basketball!

I'm 46 yrs old and Rob is my first memory of U.K. basketball. He honestly was very very good at his craft and not saying that because of bias. Tough shoes to replace, but then again the great ones always are. Good luck Rob!

Sorry to see him leave. Best of luck to him. Is he getting completely out of broadcasting?

You will not find a better tv persona than Rob Bromley a gentleman who can never be replaced.
