RIP Tom Sizemore

Goodnight, sweet prince...

This is who I was thinking of
I looked him up to see if he was still kicking, and he is at 77. He's the CEO of a non-profit that helps former MLB, minor league, Negro League, and umpires who may have financial or medical hardships.

Sizemore dated Heidi Fleiss, the Hollywood Madam. Supposedly, he knew everything and had documents from the relationship about her clients. Could be a great book if the info ever sees the light of day.

Would have been an excellent screen name for an older porn star.

RIP our (possibly) well endowed friend.

Sizemore was a good actor. True Romance is underrated. When I tell people about it they usually haven't heard of it.
Tarantino didn’t even want his name on it cause he hated it so much. Sold the script to make Resevoir Dogs. Tony Scott made TR and it is a Top 10 favorite of mine.

Gary Oldman was unrecognizable in that role.

Oldman, Hopper, Walken, Pitt. It had a great cast with a lot of recognizeable actors in supporting/bit roles. Fun fact: Hans Zimmer scored it.

Not the case at all. Basically, Tony Scott gave Tarantino the money to make his first film. There was only enough money to make 1 film, and Tarantino had 2 good scripts - Reservoir Dogs and True Romance. Scott told him to choose between the 2 films and he would get the script Tarantino didn't choose. Tarantino chose Reservoir Dogs, which was really close to his heart - and Scott got True Romance.

Great podcast - The Rewatchables on Spotify - Tarantino tells this story in the "Unstoppable" episode, which he co-hosted.
