I know they announced earlier this week that he wouldn't be coaching this season, but it sounded like they expected him to return eventually. Very sad news, always seemed like a good dude.

Yeah, in August when he was diagnosed it was supposedly "very treatable" - 2 months later he's dead.....

Which is why I never fully trust what doctors tell me. Don't get me know, I trust them to do their best, but when it comes to life or death, no way to know really. Flip was a good coach and decent guy, sad to hear this.

That is tough news for his team. They are trying to start over with a young bunch and this happens so suddenly.

Don't take life for granted; they need to focus on celebrating his life through their efforts.
