Okay this has bothered me a while now, during the tournament I saw refs review shot clock violations and who the ball was off of and it wasn't under 2 minutes in the second half. Why have the rule if it's at a referee discretion. Hell they reviewed a first half shot clock violation on Gonzaga in the NC game, why no review on the Wisc/UK F4 game? Why does UK never, and I mean never get a review, and just the BS it isn't under 2 minutes excuse.

But didn't they change the rule to be review < 2 mins. I saw several times this past year where they reviewed > 2 mins.

The rule in 2015 was that the play could be reviewed under two minutes. We were a few seconds over two.

It has since been changed to allow shot clock reviews at any time.
