Shortly after the UNC report came out, the NCAA announced they had 20 or so schools they were going to investigate. I don't remember the details, but I can't help but think we're seeing some of the fallout of that now

Of course we are, because the NCAA is going to make those other schools a priority and let the UNC issue work itself out academically. The NCAA is not going to charge Roy with anything even though he has been a solid contributor to the UNC academic success train.

NCAA is going to open up a bunch of investigations in an attempt to buttress UNCheat's claims that "everyone is doing it".

I am trying to wrap my head around the indecisiveness of 20+ years of academic fraud committed at UNC and now, the Hookergate scandal at UL and the possibility of another UK player being ruled ineligible due to an issue with a handler.. Can someone please explain what the core issue is with Skal Labissiere and how it merits ineligibility for the coming season, especially in light of the academic fraud at UNC? I am confused...

The NCAA is more or less a clique with a three tiered system of rules application . Above the law for the schools in the clique , ruled by the law for those the clique isn't threatened by and hunted by the law for those the clique is threatened by .

At this point, we simply cannot compare the situations. UL is brand new and yet to be investigated. UNC is awaiting a final say from the NCAA on their LOIC. UK is simply waiting for a player to be cleared. We don't know what the holdup is. I think we have to be patient and see how all 3 situations are resolved and then we can go burn down the HQ in Indy if we don't like the result![winking]

Sadly that pretty much sums it up.

that "everybody is doing it" is gonna back fire if the NCAA punishes 19 of 'em and UNC walks

i would like to see something backfire on the ncaa, but so far i haven't seen anybody take any action against them that has changed anything that they do.
