Seven SEC teams are regional hosts. No northern or western teams host. http://www.d1baseball.com/postseason
IF we do manage to sneak in the tournament, where is the most likely landing spot ? My guesses are Louisville, Virginia, or TCU, don't know why but these 3 spots just seem likely as a # 3 seed.Seven SEC teams are regional hosts. No it won't make any difference at all. He will be here next season, the last year of his contract. The same scenario as 2012, his back was against the wall, he scheduled smartly, won 23 straight games to start the season, and wound up winning 45 games.None of the projections this weekend had Kentucky in the field. Kind of hope they are right, but doubt that it will make a difference with Henderson this year.

I don't see how we can be very competitive next year if Shelby, Collett, Badoo, Flowers, and McGee all go pro as expected.
Hoping GH isn't the ones making the decisionsWell, Shelby, Flowers and Badoo are both outfielders. We likely only have one spot open for an outfielder. Wilson, Reks, Pompey, and Carson return for the outfield. Reks is likely solidly in left. Wilson hasn't been overly impressive, but I think Henderson likes him and won't replace him if he is healthy. Pompey needs to improve his average. So, Shelby, Flowers and Badoo could replace some guys in the outfield, but it isn't guaranteed they would.
Collette could play, but Henderson will likely stick with Cottam. Squires struggled, so there is an opportunity as a backup. Still, Collette would have to come in do very well if he's going to make a difference.
That leaves McGee... he would be pretty key along with Hanson. Pitching is key, but I don't know if we will have anyone coming in that will really make a difference. Those two seem to be big tall guys that project to the weekend, but I don't know about the others we have coming in.
