Really never expected this. Thought he was going to be a very good NFL QB once he acclimated to the speed and systems. Really strong rookie year, last two years have been pretty bad.

Coupled with Trent Richardson almost assuredly getting cut by the Raiders, two of the top 3 picks in the 2012 NFL Draft have been wildly underwhelming. Even the pros get it wrong - big time.

He's a spread QB playing in a pro set - bad fit and he'll have a lot of problems being successful within this system so I'm not totally surprised. Kurt Cousins is a much better fit and has a nice upside IMO.

If I were Seattle I would see if I could get this guy for a decent value. He would be an excellent B/U to Wilson, if he was content in this roll.

Good call Deeeefense. Seattle would seem to be a good fit for what Griffin can do.

GBB!!!

RG3 is a team chemistry killer, that's why no teams were interested in trading for him.

RG3 is a 16 million dollar cap hit for next year, that's why no teams were interested in trading for him. He would be a phenomenal signing once he's cut and teams will be fighting to do just that. There are teams that should avoid him (CIN, CLE etc) but for a good team with a great/elite but aging QB, he'd be a great addition. Think he would hurt the team chemistry in NE or NO? No. He'd learn how to keep his mouth shut and how to do his job from 2 of the greats in the league and when it was time for them to retire, you'd be handing the reigns to a guy with great physical gifts, a better grasp on how to handle himself in the locker room and with the media after some tutelage and a manageable contract from a young guy with tremendous potential. That sounds a hell of a lot better than praying you can turn Jimmy Garropolo or Ryan Mallet or an eventual 4th round QB is a franchise guy.

Maybe he's not redeemable and a team like that signs him and cuts him. No harm, no foul. Maybe he goes back to pro bowl form and you transition from franchise QB to franchise QB so smoothly it makes Indy jealous.

He'll get another chance, but the leash will be shorter than a rabid Chihuahua's. He has done nothing to warrant more interest than a mediocre journeyman.
I thought he would do as well or better than Luck. Missed that one a bit.

RG3 just doesn't seem to be able to read defenses. His injuries keep him from running as well as he could coming out of college.. It seems like at least once a game he hits a lineman in the back of the head with a pass. Running QB's have a short half life in the league and RG3 just hit his earlier than others.

As long as that loserville tard gruden comes out of it looking bad..cant believe that guy is a nfl head coach.

If it helps, I didn't think he'd be any good at all, due to lack of height, build, offense style in college. People were laughing at me hard during his first year, though everyone could plainly see Luck was the better prospect with a real command of a team. I do, however, believe Shanahan ruined his career by leaving him in that playoff game.

the way i read your post, you believe all the stuff going on is because RG3 is black. if thats the case. its a weak take..sure he had a good season. couple years ago. seems to be more interested in being a celebrity. guy doesnt know when to stop talking when doing an interview and needs to worry less about social media. shanarat certainly didnt help by keeping him in that game.

Granted the 16 million dollar cap hit has a lot to do with it, but there will be a lot of teams that wont touch him and it has nothing to do with 16 million dollars. He's a locker room cancer, he doesn't have a clue how to read defense just to name a few.

I don't think it's a low blow to say he's a locker room cancer, I think it's pretty well documented that's a major weakness in him. I wouldn't want him in Cincy (the team I pull for) at all because the situation would be a circus, but the right situation, there's more than a handful of teams where he could sign and be invisible. He wouldn't be a chemistry killer in Arizona or SD or with NYG or DEN etc etc etc... He needs a spot where he can be anonymous for a while and learn, not someplace that's gonna stick cameras and mics in his face and throw him into a QB competition.

6'2 3/8, 233 lbs. His height and frame is the most ridiculous argument I think I've ever seen. The system he played in college is a very real concern you could have had with him coming into the NFL, the fact he wasn't 7'9 and 500 lbs isn't. He's lost athleticism with some of the injuries, which has hurt his confidence. Today he's nowhere near the passing QB he was as a rookie or at Baylor. He had great touch and accuracy on deep balls at Baylor working with some highly talented guys in Wright and Gordon, he had a good rookie season too. Now he seems scared and shook. Not saying he's a future HoF guy, but he's still got the physical skills if he can get over the yipps. He needs to find the right situation when he gets cut, but he still has a lot of potential if he gets himself into a good situation. He needs some Steve Mcnair time behind a veteran. He needs to find a place where he can sit and learn quietly.
