I would like to see us get the following, in order of importance (in my mind):
1) Ingram
2) Newman
3) Big Z
I actually like Ingram the best of the remaining targets, mainly because he can fill that SF position that is sitting out there for the taking, and provide that knockdown shooter type that we will need. I understand that we have other guys that can make outside shots, but Ulis won't take enough to matter as a threat, and the others will be prone to being very streaky, at least as I see it. Newman would be a big get, but with Briscoe already signed, in my mind he becomes less important due to having another elite type player that we can trot out there for the second guard, though it would be nice to have depth. The Big Z is really only important due to the eligibility issues surrounding Skal, and thus the reason I put him as last on the priority list. The eligibility issues may be non-existent, and nothing to worry about, but as long as there are rumors, it will always be possible and you don't want to be hung out to dry with no depth should that happen.
If we are able to add those 3, or at least 2, next year is most likely going to be more like 2011-2012, and less like 2012-2013. In fact, if we land all three, wouldn't it almost resemble 2012?
Ulis - Teague
Lamb - Newman
Ingram - MKG
Poythress - Jones
Skal - Davis
Briscoe - Miller
Big Z - Wiltjer
Lee - Vargas
One returning guard, one returning F with 3 outstanding freshman in the starting line-up, and we all know what that team did. What do you think? Chances on this being the recruiting haul? Is it comparable to 2012?
