Recruit Roundtable: Facility upgrades

Most of Kentucky's recruiting class is already assembled if we can assume the Wildcats will keep the pieces together. Cats Illustrated touched base with many committed players in a Recruit Roundtable feature.
Almost every Class of 2016 recruit committed to Kentucky participated in the roundtable. This is a feature we hope to utilize again in the future and suggestions and questions from subscribers will be welcomed and considered in future editions.
In the first installment Cats Illustrated caught up with many of the Wildcats' pledges to briefly get their thoughts on all the changes to the facilities taking place at the university. That has been a big point the coaching staff has touched on with coaches ever since the financial commitment was made and especially since the plans were made public. With the work now well underway, recruits see the progress when they visit and they follow along online.
Fans know there's a tremendous financial commitment and a major construction undertaking involved, but they won't fully appreciate the changes until everything is complete. Even then, most fans will never see the upgraded facilities in the same way Kentucky's current commitments will, both this year and in the years to come.
Cats Illustrated: What's your favorite part of the facility renovations and upgrades that are taking place at Kentucky right now?
Benny Snell: The stadium is my favorite as of now.
Gunnar Hoak: Just impressed with all of it! Love how they are putting in so much money for the program! The new facility will be really good.
Kayaune Ross: I was impressed by everything the facilities have to offer. There is everything and more for me and my teammates to get better. I like the locker room. The new field is amazing.
Davonte Robinson: I like the recruiting box that they are putting into the stadium.
Drake Jackson: Coach (Mark) Stoops has taken little bits and pieces from other SEC facilities and he and Mr. Barnhart have been dedicated to make UK one of the best places to be.
Dakota Holtzclaw: I really like the new training facility and the stadium. I can't wait to be one of the first classes to use all the new things.
Landon Young: The new field is amazing and the new press boxes make the field feel even bigger. It's awesome. Plus the new facilities are gonna be great and (they're) huge as well. It's a huge change that we needed.
Grant McKinniss: There are probably two things. One, that it is going to be brand new, and two, it is all right there. Like all the facilities and even the stadium.
Justin Rigg: I would definitely say that the locker rooms and all the study rooms that they have and the player lounge is great. And also the weight room.
Kordell Looney: It's going to be sweet. The locker room and the new practice fields.
Jaylin Bannerman: Everything. It's going to be brand new. I just can't wait 'til it's finished.
