Recipe for a loss

Road game against a historic team at a historic place. A really young team. A not a 100% PG. Marcus Lee injured who is presently our best inside player. Foul trouble. Not a great shooting team and a poor game plan attacking the zone. We will see a lot of zone since we have no post game. And too be honest we are highly over rated. Our freshman are not as good as billed. We will get better but this is not a final four team. Let's have fun and hope some of these guys come back and next year's class is as good as billed.

May be a blessing in disguise. Never want to say that a loss is a good thing, however, it gets rid of that ridiculous No. 1 ranking. The team can now get back to working hard without worrying about the ranking.

He's right; this is not a FF team. Just way too soft and not enough offense. Yes, it's early but there are glaring weaknesses.

There's nothing about this game that says they aren't s final4 team.

Lee played like 3 minutes
Poy was in foul trouble all night, fouled out laughably early

I'm not even really upset, other than the fact it's a loss. What this team isn't, though, is 40-0 ready.. This loss just gets us past that quicker.. And it's a learning lesson about effort, humility and playing from behind.

Not really upset at all.. we played with one leg toed behind our back all game.

A positive with Lee out nobody shooting consistently this could easily have been a blowout but our guys kept fighting and kept within striking distance. Not the outcome we all hoped for but again a guy named Welsh who would struggle in a church league turns in a career night and UCLA just didn't make many if any mistakes..they were focused from the gitgo.

I will give them credit for fighting until the end....but let's remember this UCLA team might not make the tournament.

You just don't know.. Poy doesn't need to play in foul trouble with Lee in there.. One player himself might not be worth say 20 points... But his absence from the team could be worth 40.

Agree. We were totally out played at both ends....
