Yeast v Koback

Jaylin Bannerman
, Pickerington Central

Tonight vs Trotwood Madison

Story line: Bannerman takes on Roland Walder. No major line prospects for Trotwood-Madison could mean a big game rushing the passer for Bannerman.

Ja’Quize Cross, New Market (Ala.) Buckhorn

Tonight vs Decatur (Ala.) Austin

Story line: Big one. Cross will go head-to-head with Alabama offensive guard commit Deonte Brown. Brown is a mammoth 350-pound offensive guard and a four-star prospect.

Kash Daniel, Paintsville

Tonight vs Frankfort, Ky.

Jermaine Eskridge, Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson

Tonight vs Tampa Bay Tech

Luke Fortner, Sylvania Northview (Ohio)

Tonight vs Toledo (Ohio) Waite

Tobias Gilliam, Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne

Tonight vs Canada Prep Football Academy

Jordan Griffin, Jonesboro, Ga.

Tonight vs Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek

Story line: Sandy Creek has tests for Griffin, who plays both ways for Jonesboro. Three-star receiver Korey Banks is an absolute speed demon and he’s committed to UNC. Javon Jackson is a three-star defensive back with several offers, and he’s a player UK recruited earlier. Two-star defensive back Will Harper is also formidable, and Sandy Creek has several younger players to watch, too.

Gunnar Hoak, Dublin (Ohio) Coffman

Tonight vs Springfield (Ohio)

Story line: Hoak, Wisconsin commit Griffin Grady and Penn State commit Alex Gellerstedt will take on Kordell Looney and a Springfield team that struggled last year under their new head coach, who had great success at Trotwood-Madison.

Dakota Holtzclaw, Worthington Kilbourne

Tonight vs Dublin (Ohio) Scioto

James Hudson, Michael Warren, Toledo Central Catholic

Saturday vs Benedictine

Story line: Four-star Benedictine receiver Justin Layne is committed to Michigan State. Hudson will have to deal with two-star Ohio running back commit Dontez Rash and 2017 three-star running back DeCavilon Reese.

Zy’Aire Hughes, McCracken County

Tonight vs Warren Central

Drake Jackson, Woodford County

Tonight vs West Jessamine

Mac Jones, Jacksonville (Fla.) Bolles School

Tonight vs Lake Mary

Story line: Nobody jumps out as posing a serious problem in the secondary, although Lake Mary is home to 2017 three-star running back Marquis Mickens.

Tate Leavitt, Hutchinson C.C.

Defeated Sterling College J.V. 70-0 yesterday.

Grant McKinniss, Findlay (Ohio)

Tonight vs Anthony Wayne (Ohio)

Justin Rigg, Springboro (Ohio)

Tonight vs Mason (Ohio)

Davonte Robinson, Henry Clay

Tonight vs Louisville (Ky.) St. Xavier

Story line: Big test for Robinson and company against the state’s power.

A.J. Rose, Garfield Heights (Ohio)

Tonight vs Parma (Ohio) Holy Name

Kobe Smith, Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer

Saturday vs Peachtree Ridge

Story line: Smith, who had a sack in his first game (posted video here at HOB), should have his way against Peachtree’s offensive line on the interior, as no single player can match up with him. But Peachtree Ridge does have Louisville DB commit Baylen Buchanan, Louisville RB commit Malik Staples, Georgia DB commit Chad Clay, and four-star DB Nigel Warrior – all 2016’s. Peachtree Ridge is also home to 2017 five-star Deangelo Gibbs, 2017 four-star Breon Dixon, and 2017 three-stars Kam Jones and Connor Heyward, the son of a now deceased Pitt and NFL great.

Benny Snell, Westerville Central (Ohio)

Tonight vs Gahanna (Ohio) Lincoln

Story line: Ohio State DE commit Jonathan Cooper will look to bottle up Snell, who went for well over 2,000 yards last year.

Jamar Watson, Bishop McNamara (Md.)

Saturday vs Upper Marlboro (Md.) Riverdale Baptist

Russ Yeast, Fremont Ross (Ohio)

Tonight vs Holland (Ohio) Springfield

Story line: This Springfield team is represented by 4.3-40-yard dash speedster Bryant Koback, who showed off his speed at UK’s camp. Koback will play safety in long yardage situations, so he could see a matchup or two with Yeast.

Landon Young, Lafayette

Saturday vs Mercer County
