Ray Davis and Deone Walker named AP first team All-SEC

Congrats to Davis, but I personally thought 1st team SEC should have been Shrader and Jaylen Wright rather than Shrader and Davis. Wright was the best RB in the SEC, a 1000-yard rusher averaging 7.39 YPC.

Lmao. Davis had 20 total touchdowns to your clowns 4. Maybe give your runningback more touchdown opportunities.

Wright had to share duties with 2 other good RBs, who got used more often in goalline situations than Wright did. And I'm not saying Davis didn't deserve 1st string, I'm just saying that IMO, Wright was also deserving. If an RB has more than 100 carries and averages 7.39 YPC, to me that is more deserving than another 1000 yard rusher that averaged 5.73 YPC. Not sure why the amount of TDs should be the arbiter over YPC for an RB. But in the end it is not that big of a deal. I simply offered an opinion. And 7 of those 20 TDs for Davis were receptions.

And your point is? TD's are a pretty good qualifier for award status. and just because an RB had a third of his TD's through the air is all the more reason to honor him. It shows versatility. His 20 total TD's lead the SEC by 4 TD's. it was third nationally. He deserves 1st team.

My point is I thought Wright deserved 1st team, That's not knocking Davis. He's a great back and he had a great year. I'm not slighting him. I thought he was a great back at Vandy and I knew he would fit well in UK's offense because of how Stoops likes to run his offense. I simply said in my opinion Wright was a 1st team RB.

Well you were knocking Davis...Right down to Second Team, because you said you thought Wright deserved it over Davis, simply because of his YPC average. I think Most would tend to agree that TD's are a bigger indicator of success than YPC. and 5.73 YPC is nothing to sneeze at BTW.
