“I’m going to have to make two really big decisions,” Alkins said.

The former Christ the King star and Canarsie native is one of the most highly recruited boys’ basketball prospects in the country. That's the worst possible thing that could happen. Huntington Prep is not only no friend of UK, they actually direct players away. They are in Adidas' back pocket. Look at what Deing, Wiggins and Thomas Bryant all have in common. And yes, I know Indiana just signed with Nike, but they were Adidas when Bryant signed.

Bryant signing with Indiana wasn't because of Adidas and Huntington Prep. He would have came to UK if Cal would have pressed harder. Also, Miles Bridges is at Huntington Prep and will attend a Nike school.

Alkins is already an Adidas kid. Going to HP isn't going to change that fact. But it does get him close to UK. And you actually think Bridges, a Nike kid, won't wind up at UK or MSU, Nike schools, because HP will make him change affiliations?
