So you say UK is one of the most recognizable but then you say "you think basketball ?" Well UK does not wear helmets in basketball. So is it a popularity contest of JUST based on helmet design ? Myself, I put LSU #1 and it is not even close. Tell me exactly what Missouri, SC, A&M, Auburn helmets have that is better than UK's design ? I think UT is the worst, bland and ugly ass Orange as the main color. Terrible. Nothing great about Georgia, I get Bama with the traditional numbers only, but if not for all the success, I do not think they would be as noticeable or popular. But, it is a nice, clean, classic look, no fault there. Ole Miss #1 ? Uh, NO. How could you not vote LSU ? Purple and Gold just pops. Wearing those at night with the rest of the uniform, it just doesn't get any better.

I think Alabama’s is the worst in P5. I like Mississippi States helmet. Actually, I think Mississippi State’s white on white on white is the best uniform in all of college football
Nope, the writer would think "basketball." That was the thing that told me he was a hack and the whole ranking was just a quick article and no true ranking. I get it that it is all opinion based, but to say a helmet makes you think basketball just takes away any chance of a credible opinion or ranking. If it was truly based on the merits of the helmet, then I MIGHT lend some credibility to it, but he killed all of that with his dumb statement and then the jab at the program. Nobody can be taking seriously with that statement.
I dont care for the LSU helmet, but I dont care for purple. I am embarrassed to say this, but i like Auburn's. I like it being neat and simple. I dont care for the ones with names on them. I like UGA it's simple and colors look good. I really like UK's silver chrome helmet with blue graphics. UT's graphics is ok, but that butt ugly orange ruins it, get a color that is rich not some faded out secondary color.
This is on a national level, but the helmet Michigan wears is the worst in college football, I dont even know what it is suppose to represent and the color combination sucks.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME:
-LSU: best helmet in the league
-Bama: Tradition. I like it b/c it says "we are this good, and we don't do gimmicks"
-UT: Sorry, I know we hate them but the Power T is awesome.
Really good:
-Auburn: Unique and good color combo. Traditional, but not bama level stodgy
-UF: Script gators is very cool
-Miss: See florida
Decent, nothing to write home about:
-UK: With power K, it would be higher
-UGA: Seems like a knockoff of Packers to me
-Arky: PIg is unique
-A&M: Old school
-Vandy: They are always terrible, but color scheme is cool

-South Carolina: Ugly, tacky, gross
-Mizzou: I hate when "gold" teams are actually yellow
-Miss state: Just blah. Not sure why they fell in love with maroon and the helmets are yuck.

I'm going UGA #1. Just like the color combo & oval G, Looks like football helmet. I'd put our Chrome up there too. MSU & A&M the worst. Nothing more boring than maroon or Navy blue, although I do respect Bama and Penn St for going straight simple tradition that says you know who we are. Black & yellow never looks good either so Mizzou is out.
We can brand with letters on our jersey and pants. I've always wished we had a white cat's paw print on that blue field, a la Clemson.

State’s white helmet is especially cool with white unis: intentional adoption of Star Wars warrior look.

I prefer the simple things in life. Bama, Georgia and Power K Kentucky are all I ask for.
Leave all of the flash and pomper to other schools, The K speaks for itself and nothing needs to be added. Bama and Georgia have it right and we once did. Of course as they say, just an opinion Oh and I hate Ole Miss so who ever put them #1 sucks.

The LSU whites are the best imo but I don’t think they wear them as often as the yellow helmets.

I'm sorry powdered blue is just a feminine color, not my choice for the best helmet in the conference.
The power K is just a letter in the alphabet. It’s so bland. Kids these days would laugh at it.
Somehow just adding another letter, "U" makes it better? The worst part is UK and the University of Houston have identical logos. It's pitiful.
