Seriously thank you for your info about recruiting the past few months. I know I am not the only one that eats it up here. You were right on the money. Please continue to post info you have.

So who is your team? Feel free to come on over to BBN[cheers]

No problem and appreciate the nice words--but unnecessary. We're all just fans of the best sport on the planet CBB and anywhere I can engage with serious basketball fans, I'm happy to do so. I'm a Hoya from way back (Ralph Dalton was Patrick Ewing's backup on '84 team (sorry BBN--but one shining moment-you got us Hoya fans back in '85 with painful loss in Rupp, lol). Sadly--I lost my passion for Gtown with JT3 style ball so follow them but mainly follow the entire sport and just always have loved CBB. Came here to talk hoops and hit it off with fans here-always been treated well talking the game/recruiting.

Like I said--have a very good friend who is a BBN fan/works in industry and he knows people/things that are happening. Fox was 100000000% happening. Bam was tough pull-but this guy knew Bam wanted BBN all along--just tough convincing the people who had his ear to let him make this decision. Monk was closer to Fox--his brother who is a nice man--I spoke with him at an EYBL event and couldn't have been more respectful and down to Earth is taking the attention off Malik-which is pathetic because same fans would love if they landed a 5 star from KY who needed to get away from home and go to Fayetville. Also--Malik and Fox really hit it off on Bahamas Trip--although both were UK bound--that helped assure them they could play together.

Some guys I'm hearing to watch for '17 with UK are Nick Richards, Jarred Vanderbilt, Trevon Dural, and Marvin Bagley--he is '18 but can reclassify potentially and is originally from TN. Ayton is UK lean (if he plays CBB--needs to leave Hillcrest asap imo) and a lot can change but early on-those kids are talked up a great deal.

I'll say this--Arkansas fans might be frustrated because this is 3rd guy who played for Wings (Archie Goodwin and Skal moonlighted with them briefly) to choose UK over Hogs. Hogs have great tradition and history but it's UK--and with success in all facets going on right now--can you blame a kid? It would be like ripping a player choosing Alabama over Arkansas in CFB? Know it hurts--but in 1 and done era--not like you have to face these guys for 4 years--it's just a matter of frustration and onto the next crop!

Good luck this year and thanks for the complimentary thread. I'm here to talk hoops so not going anywhere.

Same goes for myself. Enjoy CBB and enjoy talking with other fans like you who are respectable our board. Thank you.

Yeah RalphDalton is right! A seriously underreported story is Ayton's high school situation. He transferred to a prep school in Arizona from San Diego and the school is VERY close to being shut down by the Arizona department of education just like Prime Prep was in Texas. If Ayton stays all year at the school it's going to be a Diallo situation with the NCAA trying to get him eligible and he really likes UK and could be the best Center prospect since Oden.
