Yeah Stoops never plays the backups so same here. To be fair we couldn't even blow out some of our cupcakes so can't blame him there this season.
We will find out in a few hours. Hopefully Levis can play. I seriously doubt what he did against high school KY teams will factor much into sec play.

Here's the good news - which few seem to consider - staff has had all week to prepare for Will not playing or playing very little against South Carolina. These reserve QB's were all high school stars - they are not hot garbage to begin with! Probably all of our reserve QB's have the ability to do most of the throws required to run our basic offense. After all - how many passes, have we attempted that the ball was in the air more than 30 yards? I expect we will see a more "air raid" type of offense today from our team. We have a LOT of players who can and probably will contribute with catches today. We will try to dink and dunk our way down the field which will also create a lot of opportunity for Chris to show his stuff. When its all said and done - people will realize how far the program has actually come and how much depth this staff has accumulated.

Didn't mean it that way to you Sam. I was just observing this and several other threads and pointing out my opinion of what and why we will see a different game plan tonight. We all will find out if we have a capable QB ready tonight very soon in all probability.

I don't see us going to the air at all. This game has a Chris Rodriguez special written all over it if we have to play Sheron. Hard nosed defense, ball control, own TOP and keep Rattler off the field.
I agree with this. Hopefully Sheron can not make big mistakes and do what needs to be done if he has to play. I don’t think he needs to be a hero tonight. South Carolina has a pretty bad defense

We can probably rope a dope the hell out of them going play action after making it appear he is just gonna game manage. Then they over adjust and CRod eats their lunch the rest of the night... gotta remember he has some nice help on the wings.
I can easily see a 25 carry 185 yd two touchdown type game for Crod tonight if Will can’t go
Dink and dunk passes will create MORE opportunities to run with Chris. Air Raid offense in reality is very similiar to running attack. If you were around and watched Mumme while at UK we were throwing short passes and running for yards - very, very few deep passes. Its really an offense designed for teams that don;t have good running attacks and gets everyone involved in the offense.

Not sure CRod has that kind of stamina at this time, he was pretty gassed last week.
We have had backup QB's torch us in the past, hopefully tonight we turn the tables. We won with Lynn @ QB, so I have confidence the team will step up and get us a win. Get the ball to Key, Robinson, Brown and Maggard in space and let them go to work. Use C-Rod like a rented mule. Defense has to come up big, a couple of picks or fumbles would do the trick..Go Cats..
I have seen Sheron play many times! The young man does not lack confidence and he will do a fine job tonight!
I’m not as worried about Sheron as I am the OL continuing to get better. If they get better tonight, the Cats will be fine.
Not saying this is my first choice, but I get kind of geeked up a bit for situations like this - I'm always curious to see how the "other guy" would do when it really counts and not in mop-up time. Our previous OC said nice things about him and he enrolled early and has been in the system for a good stretch and should know the offense well.
How will he perform? "According to his gifts" as Spock might say.
