My girlfriend is big into hobbies and crafts and sells quite a bit, recently she has asked me to do some woodworking for her and paint it for some new things she is offering ... well, I am not very knowledgeable on paint types and what is best for wood, or to use in a spray gun.

I used a latex based paint that I thinned a bit and it seemed to go on decent, doesn't give it a professional look by any means even with clear coat. Was curious if anyone has experience with this kind of stuff and could suggest a type of paint to use?

I buy primed wood so I don't have to prime it or anything if that matters. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Use an oil based paint. It will look better and be more durable. Will be harder to clean up.
