I’d assume this all for show and he’s going to whoever makes the biggest NIL commitment.
The upside to him is that he’s a 2 year player, the downside is that he’s not really skilled, he’s kind of just a big athlete, Cal prototype of player, don’t even know if he would do well in Pope’s system if we did break off a big NIL check to recruit him back.
Who knows maybe with a good coach like Pope he’d learn the system and be great in it, hard to tell.

I don't know if any coach in America wouldn't want the guaranteed 2 year potential he brings.
Pope didn't have a chance at guys like this at BYU. His offensive system requires picks and driving, it's not all just 5 guys jacking up threes. And he has the kind of athleticism to play full court defense and rebound.
Honestly if Pope is the game coach we all think he is with the kind of development Pitino brought to the table, he could do huge things for Quaintance.

I sure hope big Z was watching today. I know he’s witnessed UK fandom up close and personal but today had an even better vibe to it. Definitely got teary eyed today in the beginning of it.

He doesn’t fit Marks system well. I think he’s extremely talented but Pope recruits guys who fit in what he wants to do.
