This aspect of UK football has been poorly covered although Rowland finally made a passing reference. UK picked up a couple more PWOs over the weekend bringing their total for the year to around 18, maybe 20. This seems to be a really high number, wonder why now? Previous years have been like 3-5. Just curious as to why the additions now. BTW, some of these guys really look like players, much more than cannon fodder.

I don't think that is an unusually high number, I think the 3-5 would be a low number. It's a big part of our program, Stetson was one, we had one that started at DB in 21 and would have likely started in 22 but was injured and out for the year. I think we carry 17-20.

I know many programs have had active WO programs over the years and late bloomers do crop up. Charles Walker/David Bouvier have contributed at UK in recent years. This seems like a high number for what UK has done in the past. Maybe UK's just catching up but I'm glad to see it.

If you look at some of the top programs I have seen some to have around 100 players. It is an interesting question why all the sudden. Think I read that Jackson recruited some of those guys. Maybe Boulware had some input? Or maybe Stoops or Marrow decided to prioritized PWO's more?

Looks like the last 2 PWO commits this past week were a DE from Nashville recruited by Stewart and a Lex Cath LB recruited by Mike Stoops. You're right, Jackson was involved with the PWO OL recruits. Think Perry/Waugh were also tied in with some guys. One would think it'd be an interesting story for KY sports media but they're too busy counting Wheeler's minutes to give a shit. Anyway, glad to see UK's expanding their PWO program.

Where are you guys finding the list of PWO’s? I’m curious who they are now

Poster named Rembrandt has a partial list in the thread titled "State of 2023 Recruiting."

That was one reason for my post...the people who do this stuff for a living has yet to see fit to publish a list. Got most of the names I found off Twitter.
