Probation?

Are we currently on probation, and had to vacate the entire 21 season under Stoops? If so why does that not get us out of the buy out. Everything is the responsibility of the head coach.

And I’m all for Stoops leaving right now.

BUT… it was players fudging their hours on time cards.
UK players was getting paid kinda like a NIL thing through UK hospital.
Player like C Rod would claim time and not show.

Not sure how that’s Stoops fault.

The language in his contract says that the coach knew or had reason to know. Since this took place completely outside the football program, the NCAA said that Stoopd did not know nor is there a reason he should have. Cannot fire him for cause.

I'm willing to accept he neither knew nor had reason to know. I'm not sure I'm interested in his continued tenure at UK either, however.

100%. No one can blame the coach for this. It is also insane guys cheating time cards equals vacating wins but players getting paid millions and not really doing the work to earn it either is ok.

Doubt we are going to be able to get out of the buyout, but there is probably enough dirt out there to give us some negotiating power after next season to not pay the full amount.

I want another coach really bad but this whole non sense of being clocked in and not showing up is total garbage. Especially since they made UK vacate all those wins with the way $ is flying around for NIL these days. When the NIL $ isn't even how it's supposed to be going.....

I don't really blame Stoops because he likes that 9 million paycheck, I blame the AD he needs to go also.
