Prime Time in Colorado

Was only a matter of time before he left the elementary school gig.

Great hire for Colorado.

Questionable decision for Deion, as he couldve had a better job with a bigger fan base and bigger name. I think this was a case of taking the first semi-large school offer.

He showed he can be a head coach. No question. I wonder how everyone now feels about the comments he made when he went to a HBCU about them being a destination rather than just an afterthought.... He got out of there awfully quick. His nickname IS prime time though, and it was great seeing Jackson St winning like that again.

I don't think so. I think he knows what he's doing. There's good football played in the conf he just left, but he shouldn't jump up too high too soon. Got to high point the football like he was always good st doing.

He can leave Colorado without doubt or questions for a greater job if he's successful there for just 2 seasons. Bama isn't open yet. Georgia position isn't open. USC isn't open. Etc.

I think he's just gathering momentum.

I'm disappointed he didn't keep the JSU job. Thought he was serious about it and that he'd become the next Eddie Robinson (except at Jackson State instead of Grambling).

I think it was a strategic move by Deion. He can still get a few kids from the South that he would've gotten at Florida State or an SEC school, but he can also draw talent from Texas, Arizona, California and Washington while locking down Colorado.

He'll get a ton of talent on both sides of the ball but doubt he'll ever have the guys in the trenches you need to compete for a national title. But he'll do well there and make a lot of money. And Prime loves money.

I agree his path to being really good is not exactly murders row. With transfers he can turn that around quickly and then wait for whatever is next.

yeah i haven't seen what the offer is but that south florida job seemed to be the most logical next step. his neck of the woods, in the southeast, getting players...huge school in a conference he can flip things around in quickly...then wait it out for THE job if you're successful. but colorado may have given him enough to where you can't turn it down. the money in college coaching these days is hard to turn down. doesn't work out? still have a parachute.

Surprised this is the job he took. Huge get by Colorado for sure. Hate seeing him leave Jackson st
Why do you hate seeing him leave Jackson St? They aren't televised, so you can watch any games. And the athletes looked like a good high school team. Finally he's going to have a legit crowd, too.

I dont think it was a good business move, but im glad to see him get out of that hell hole.

Imo it was great exposure for those kids and that group of schools. He'll be fine even if he fails at Colorado. All those other kids might not be

I guess he can say, "I made coaching a HBC acceptable, I got top players to come to one, and I showed a power 5 conference school can hire a HBC coach".

Excited to see him make late night Pac 12 after dark interesting
