Pretty cool favorite college football team map (NY Times)

Pretty cool. I haven't looked at the link too much from my mobile phone but I will when I get to work. Much of what I saw doesn't surprise me. What I would love to see is if I can click a button which would isolate the map to only one or a couple colleges. For example Notre Dame likely has the largest national fanbase. I'd like to see the entire US map with just ND football on it. Or UK basketball as another example.

Not sure if you can do that or not BlueRaider22. Would be a great feature though.

GBB!!!

Most interesting to me is non-football, non P5 states. Florida's a big deal, but they carried a lot of New England in Maine and Mass, probably more but just scanned quick didn't look at every zip. Only getting 8-10%, but still being the most popular team. Didn't think Florida had nationwide pull like that. Tebow answers maybe?

Or the UNC Football love in the middle of Vermont!

IU owns the Bloomington area and that is about it, lol. There are area codes in Indiana where they are not in the top three.

Georgia Tech scoring at 8 and 9 percent in Metro Atlanta seems a little high to me, but whatever.

Congrats to U of L on having a larger market footprint than IU football.
Screw any congrats to UL, they have made their progress with the most underhanded and devious AD in history, witness, SMTWTF and and occasional Saturday game, the money he rewards coaches bereft of principles like BP and Pitino with, not to mention hurtt that he hired and kept (maybe no choice there) after everything came out, scouring the jail release records for new prospects, Willie and other transfers, the Yum Center fiasco, etc, etc. Just win baby.

I could add more, but some of the grammar police will already jump on me for the long sentence.

2 bigger suprised was seeing just how small the Auburn fan following was in Alabama. Bama/Auburn looks pretty similar to UK/Louisvile.

The biggest suprised was UCLA. It took me a while to even find them lol.

Lots of Snowbirds from that area spend winters (football season) in FLA.

^Snowbirds and bandwagonners throughout the Northeast and New England. See Duke/UNC*** basketball fans in those areas.

My experience in NY and New England, its all about the pros. College sports gets little attention in that part of the country.
