With us currently ranked 12th, let's take a look at some of the happenings for the top 11:
#3 Arizona lost by 16 @ #7 UCLA. They won't fall far. We likely won't jump them but there's an outside chance.
#4 Baylor lost @ Alabama. It'll be interesting to see how far the voters knock them down. I really don't know if we'll jump them or not.
Obviously #5 Kansas got pistol-whipped at home against us so we should jump them.
*#6 Purdue hosts #16 Ohio State today.
#9 Duke had a couple close games against weak competition. Doubt the voters actually springboard us ahead of them but it's at least a possibility with as impressive as our win yesterday was.
#10 Michigan State lost @ #24 Illinois. Not a bad loss but will cause them to drop behind us.
#11 Wisconsin beat a horrible Nebraska team and plays a meh Minnesota team today. We've had a more impressive week than them and will jump them without them losing.
So, we will jump Kansas, Michigan State, and Wisconsin putting us at 9th as a baseline. Then, with Purdue game pending, and question marks around the placements of Arizona, Baylor, and Duke, we could be as high as 5th with a Purdue lost today or 6th with a Purdue win.
I predict we'll be 7th or 8th.
