Likewise, i've heard that one before.I hope so, but I'll believe it when I see it. Been waiting for him to go into beast mode since he did it against Duke freshman year.
You can't just go to the store and but a 6 pack of beast
I don't know if we will ever see BEAST MODE ALEX, we've been hoping for that for 4 years. I'd settle for a sustained good human mode right now snd be happy with that. We don't need him to rip the rim down then go kiss babies, we just need him to get the rebounds he can get and give us 10 points on put backs and free throws. Maybe the occasional 16 point performance but he has the tools to make his presence known whenever he's on the floor but too many times you don't even realize he's out there.
Yup, those are nice numbers and I'm good with that but you missed the point because you're hung up on his stats. He doesn't need to score points, block shots or snatch rebounds to affect the game, but there are times he doesn't do the little things. Why do you think Cal still Yanks him out 2 or 3 times per game? Because he missed assignments or showed a lack of effort. That's what I'm talking about.9/7

Those are Alex's last five games. Fairly consistent, with averages of 10/7.8
Looks like he's doing exactly what you want him to do. If you don't notice him, maybe he's not the problem.

But again, we don't need some fantasy land "beast mode" that just isn't going to happen. This team needs a consistent Alex Poythress for ALL aspects of the game.
Good post. Those numbers and strong defense, and staying out of foul trouble, is exactly what we need from Alex. Nothing more.9/7

It would be a major miracle if he can play more than 4 minutes of meaningful minutes in a game without disappearing.
