Potential boom of Robert morris guy?

Better shooting than Carr from outside. Has a rather unorthodox back to basket arsenal and the way he dribbles , his pocket could be easily be picked. .Carr has a better floater. He has more moves in offensive arsenal than Carr and two years eligibility .

On defense I don’t think he will be necessary an upgrade to Carr by contrary he will a liability. Whom ever else we get at 4 and 5 they better defend the paint.

If we get him is for offense and 2 yrs of eligibility. I am not too crazy about this one unless we look at him a plug in for offense and then take him out in defense.

He might end up being a star for us offensively, but people keep saying that he had a phenomenal game against Bama, and I disagree. Offensively, yes. Defensively, he got abused by their length and athleticism. Solid defensive numbers against worse opponents, though. We just need a defensive stopper at C when he's in.

would have liked Bowen to commit first
Assuming UK indeed gets Folgueiras (incredible get!), are you thinking UK might have been trying to hold back on announcing Folgueiras to not scare off Bowen or other 2nd unit PF options?

He's European. They don't do their own defense.

That's the reason I wish we would've gotten Magoon for his defense.

If you want a defensive center then it's Henri Veesaar from Arizona. Plus you get the overall game.

Hey it ain't like anyone on the team this season was able to really stop Alabama haha.

I don't worry too much about a player being stout on offense AND defense. If I have to pick, give me offense all day when the sport favors offensive players. If some of our guys are a little weak defensively, and if it keeps their legs fresh for the offensive end, so be it.

If Magoon has a history of injury, it might have been for the best. Get a hold of Bowen and we'll have at least one athletic stud shot blocker. Alvaro doesn't have terrible defensive numbers. Seems like a solid shot blocker in his own right, but he definitely got punked against Bama. Maybe it was scheme or just how good Bama was or how subpar everyone else was on defense or a mix of all three.

Dunno. I just really hope we get some athleticism down low this go around.

Well, I think we are in good shape with Yaxel. Just have to wait and see.

Called this one days ago. I’m not pretending I knew positivity, but I trusted my friend and his real source. I’m staying positive. I was pretty damn positive on Magoon, as was my buddy and his buddy. So I’ll eat my crow on that one.
Bro, I don't know your source but I'm pretty sure they are just assuming and making educated guesses like every one else.
Doesn’t seem many really have the "inside scoop" and this looks to be true other schools, too.
Portal posts get lots of clicks so many like to put out stuff that make a headline, so there going to be a lot of iffy information out there

I understand your point, but there were three games against Bama and one against ut this season where we desperately needed a defensive stop and just couldn't get one to save our lives.

IMO, no amount of humanly feasible offensive output can compensate for that defensive ability or lack thereof. Especially if our hope is to throw down with the best of the best and BE the best of the best.

There you go have Bowen to go with this guy and there is our defense down low.
