Alex Poythress left a ton of points near the basket. Not so much on missed shots but on shots that he had that were blocked, on balls that he bobbled and couldn't get a first grip on, etc. It really hurt them tonight.

The obvious stories are obvious. Kentucky shot extremely poorly from inside the arc whereas they normally do not. They shot extremely well from outside the arc whereas they normally do not.

Their 24 points in the paint were far too few, particularly given their winning formula in the past.

Defensively they didn't fight through Ohio State's screens especially well. They gave up too many second chance points in the second half especially.

I think at this point it's safe to say Kentucky is a very overrated No. 4. They look like a Top 25 team most nights but that's, right now, as far as I'm willing to go. They are not one of Calipari's better defensive teams.

Skal Labissiere continues to provide almost nothing. Offensively his impact was virtually non-existent.

Jamal Murray is the only person who made this game interesting. More to follow from me much later tonight.
