Jamal Murray is going to be really tough to double team. Love how he splits it and puts the defense in a bad position.

Tyler Ulis -- what can you say? Kid's just a killer. From breaking down a defense to knocking down outside shots he had a great night. Amazing to see how intense he is up 30 points in an exhibition game.

Really like the way Ulis and Murray play with one another. Love Murray's ability to pick his spots and he's got a really good one- or two-steps ahead mind when he's passing the ball. Puts it in scoring position when he gets it to his teammates.

Lee and Humphries have both got to be prepared to finish stronger around the basket. One of the few minor critiques on just a couple of plays but going into the season you could have imagined that would be something to think about.

I didn't see anything to make me think Kentucky will bang especially well this season. Poythress got up a couple of times with enough explosiveness for me to believe he's gonna be okay and a real asset and his shot sure looks pure when he gets it in rhythm.

Lot more defensive pressure than we'll see much of the season. One of the more encouraging signs was the way Kentucky was able to extend the defense when it became an emphasis for Calipari. After Ottawa got hot a bit from deep in the first half Kentucky took away some of those open looks to start the second. There were some lapses and they'll still have to continue to work on the perimeter "D", but they showed me that they're able to make adjustments and adapt to emphases, which clearly bodes well.

I do think they'll be a pressure defense team but more so in the halfcourt. They will use it to control tempo and maybe maximize possessions and let their guards take control of the game more.
