This is going to sound like a bitter, angry, old man tonight ... but so be it:
* This was not the same Badger team that beat Arizona or UK. Dekker was a complete no-show for one. He plays like that against either Zona or the Cats and the Badgers would have already been at home. With him playing well, they are really good ... but he just didn't have it tonight and the Badgers arguably should have still won the game.
* Two, huge, blown out of bounds call lead to 5 Duke points in the last couple of minutes of the game. Ballgame. That was the difference. Of course, the Badgers benefited from a blown shot clock violation on Saturday too.
* I will say this though, to his credit, Coach K willed and inspired his team to the victory tonight.
* The 2010 and 2015 Cats were both better teams than Duke, as the Cats were a bad matchup for the Blue Devils both years. Duke was the beneficiary of two ill-timed collapses by the Cats ... the 3pt shooting disaster against WVU and the 3 consecutive shot clock violations against Wisconsin. Seems bad things come in three's to the eventual benefit for the Blue Devils.
* Will Coach K be vilified like Coach Cal for winning a National Championship with a bunch of one and done players? Has Coach K ruined the game of basketball? Hmmm ... didn't think so.
* It's been a rough last three days for the BBN ...
* Next year, I suppose that we will likely have to deal with North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland fighting for the title next year ... oh the joy.
