* Wow. Heartbreaking loss for the Cats. A game the Cats had an opportunity to win.
* There will be a lot of second guessing about the last five minutes or so of the game. Cats with a 4 pt lead, and Wisconsin on the ropes, and the Cats offense goes into stall mode and the Cats have three straight trips where they don't hit the rim at the end of the shot clock .... why quit playing to win and starting playing not to lose and that cost the Cats the win, a shot at a perfect season, and a shot at #9. Cal put all of his eggs in a one-four set on three straight trips for Andrew rather than continue to go into KAT or Andrew drive to the rim and it cost us. I don't mind getting beat ... but not when shut down your offense at the end of the game. Crushing way to end an otherwise historic season.
* Sure, Wisconsin scored after the shot clock ... but four UK players also watched the ball bounce out of bounds to allow Wisconsin opportunity to tie the game with 3 seconds left on the shot clock. Again, you have to play aggressive to win.
* Wisconsin desperately wanted to win this game ... they had a will to win. Kudos to the Badgers.
* Harrisons were really good for the first 35 minutes of the game ... at which point we shut it down. Cats missed 9 of last 11 shots to finish the game.
* Willie, one of the great personalities and athletes in UK history ... sadly wasn't at his best tonight. Great person who deserves the best in life.
* A great, great, season for the Cats. A historic season ... with a crushing end. 38-1. Wow. Kudos and thanks to the Cats for a tremendous season.
* Two years in row the Cats get to the Final Four and don't get the Championship ... no doubt those will haunt Cat fans and Cal for years to come. I know it's eating at me. Just don't get opportunities like this very often. Cats could have had about 3 titles in the last 5 years.
* Up Next: Duke vs. Wisconsin for the Title. Good luck to the NCAA on filling the arena on Monday night. Tickets will be selling cheap tomorrow. The Cats move on to making their NBA decisions, who stay and who goes. Then we see what recruits we can bring in. In the meantime, there's a lot of hurting hearts in Cat land to try to heal ... none greater than our players and staff who made us proud.
