* Blowout win by the Cats. West Virginia had proven to be a feast or famine team this year ... and tonight it was famine.

* The game was in many ways decided in the first minute of the game when the officials completely dominated how the game was going to be played which gave WVa virtually no chance at winning the game. Personally, even though the Cats ultimately benefited from it, I didn't like the way the game was officiated for either team ... the refs were such a dominant factor ... but we will take it.

* The press wasn't much of a factor because WVa couldn't score. You can't press if you can't score, coupled with the tight whistle and it was bad news for WVa. It was a nightmare alignment of events for the 'Neers.

* Lyles is a very skilled basketball player. He is really good. Dakari played a good game. Towns got called for a bunch of nothing fouls and never got going. Willie was his usual defensive presence and was good on the boards. Thought Lee had a good game.

* Harrison's both played well ... couple of 3's early by Aaron, a boatload of FT's by Andrew, and some drives to the rim. Ulis was solid, shooting was a bit off. Good to see Booker make some shots.

* Up Next. Put this game behind us and forget about it .... it's now the Cats vs. Notre Dame in the Elite Eight for a trip to the Final Four. The real competition starts Saturday night. Notre Dame won the ACC tournament and is a very, very, good offensive basketball team. The Cats are going to need to score a good amount of points to win this game. The Irish are going to spread the floor in an effort to negate the Cats size ... and drive for a shot or dish to the 3pt line. Substantial challenge for the Cats who will need to be on the top of their game to get this W and make it to the Final Four.
