* Tough loss for the Cats. Had it in their grasp ... With the way things played out it was remarkable that the Cats were even in the game given the rebounding, A&M took 18 more shots ... thankfully they missed some FT's.
* Humphries played a really good game for the Cats, by far the best rebounder that the Cats had ... actually went after the ball. He seems to get a lot of ticky tack fouls called on him ... and the technical was, that's tough. If his teammates don't come over to shove him he might not have gotten momentarily fired up ... Cats had the game ... for that matter if Skal had hit the 2nd foul shot they may have still had it. Speaking of Skal ... he has a long way to go.
* Ulis and Murray are obviously really good. A&M played them tough ... made them work for their shots and points. The Cats did however struggle at times late in the shot clock and had some bad turnovers in the 2nd half that cost them.
* Briscoe does a lot of things good ... but he has got to develop a jump shot. He becomes really good with a jump shot that is effective and if he has any desire to play in the NBA he has to make open shots.
* .It says a lot about our rebounding situation with Briscoe occupying the low post position on FTs.
* Losing Willis hurt. Cats offense was mostly going to Murray the last several minutes of the game and in the OT. .... too one-dimensional in too many possessions.
* Great play by Cal out of the timeout with lob to Lee. Also thought Cal did a good job of using the zone in spots tonight.
* Up Next: Cats vs. Bama on Tuesday night at Rupp. It's a must win for the Cats. We really need to get Alex back. We need Willis back.
