* Massive road win over a good Miss State team. Huge win for the Cats. It was a game of runs and the Cats held on at the end. We have said this before, but it sure looks like the key for the Cats is get to that 90+ pt type game and avoid those rock fights.

* Robinson came alive tonight. He makes the Cats a different team when he is making shots like that. 9-12 from the field, 7-10 from 3pt line … that’s getting it done.

* Williams leaves you frustrated at times, but he was pretty good tonight except for TOs (5 bad TOs), with 10 pts and 12 rebounds. Almonor with 3 huge 3’s late in the game after State had erased a 14pt KY lead and taken the lead.

* Butler and Oweh were good, but not great tonight … but they made the plays we need and they get it done on the defensive end. It was big that we got good minutes from Carr, who was questionable to play tonight. Brea didn’t do a lot, but he occupies a defender creating openings for others.

* Cats +8 on the glass was huge tonight … State was rebounding in the first 10 minutes of the game … but the Cats did the job in the 2nd half.

* Had we lost, turnovers would have been the story … 13, which State converted into a lot of points.

* Up Next: Cats take on Texas A&M in Rupp on Tuesday night. A&M will play with the formula that Clemson, OSU, and UGA successfully used so the Cats will have to be ready against a physical A&M team. Got to protect the home court. It’s going to be a war.
