* Solid, workman-like win for the Cats today. Nothing flashy, just a good win.
* I think we have seen enough of the current version of the Cats to identify some trend lines that merit mention as areas in need of improvement:
* Thought Matthews gave us some good minutes. He can contribute for the team this year.
* Skal is very talented and can score, but still has a long ways to go with the physical part of the game. We need Lee to play well this year.
* Up Next: On Friday, the Cats travel to Miami to play South Florida in an early evening game.
* I think we have seen enough of the current version of the Cats to identify some trend lines that merit mention as areas in need of improvement:
- Cats 13-26 from the FT line. Ulis was 6-6, which means the rest of the team was 7-20. This has to change or it will get the Cats beat in games this year.
- Cats 3-15 from 3pt line. That has to improve. Ulis was 1-5. For Tyler to be most effective, he has to be both a willing taker and maker of open 3's. Makes us a different team if he and Murray can consistently make 3's.
- Cats are not going to overwhelm teams with size and strength like last year's team. This team is more about grinding out games and eventually just mentally breaking the other team down. In that regard, there is smaller margin of error as the competition increase ...so FT's, hitting the open 3, and minimizing TO's is critical.
