No brainer IMHO. Who has done a better coaching job?! Nobody….
why wouldn't he be. LITERALLY started with nothing and only a matter of days to recruit. got a couple of good high schoolers, but not game changers (yet).
Scheyer ... what a fing joke. if they didn't have that 18 year old and his teammate, play in a shitty conference this year, then they'd barely break top 15. hopefully that was just spank material for espn employees.
Pearl ... there is an argument there, but what Pope has done in such a short time is amazing.

He has. However, he won’t have enough big wins. Especially in the ACC.
If we can finish in the top 10-15, Pope is certainly in the conversation.
I think his primary competition comes from fellow SEC coaches. If Auburn continues to dominate, it will be hard to pass on Pearl. Going something like 15-3 or better in the SEC would be a tremendous achievement.
Golden at Florida is the other contender. Florida did not have much preseason publicity at all. If they can finish top 3 in the SEC, Golden would be worthy.
