I don’t know if this has been posted, but this is tremendously good stuff from Wall and Boogie on their Kentucky days. Must listen if you haven’t already.
Love these two guys.
Love these two guys.
No way he makes that decision back then. They’ve said lots of stuff after the fact. Just blowing smoke. Guys sitting around yuck it it up.Bittersweet moment hearing Cuz tell the dude that if NIL had been around in 2010 that he'd have "gotten real comfortable" at UK and probably would've been here all 4 years....
Both of them have always been adamant they wanted to come back and were heavily considering prior to sitting down w Cal. I don’t think it’s that far fetched that if they could have made a few million that you may have seen them for a year 2….no way all 4 tho.No way he makes that decision back then. They both said that they think they could've signed an NIL deal worth more than their 1st year nba money, and if so would've probably come back. Cuz sounded more emphatic about it than Wall.No way he makes that decision back then. They’ve said lots of stuff after the fact. Just blowing smoke. Guys sitting around yuck it it up.
You ever listen to Wall on the “Run Your Race” podcast? They both said that they think they could've signed an NIL deal worth more than their 1st year nba money, and if so would've probably come back. Cuz sounded more emphatic about it than Wall.
Also funny to learn in that video that JW stole the "john wall dance" from Cuz...
Not sure if you listed to this, but Wall says he was leaving after one year no doubt, and this was known from the jump. Both of them have always been adamant they wanted to come back and were heavily considering prior to sitting down w Cal. I played pickup with Cuz, Bledsoe, Wall a couple times after they got knocked out by WVU in the Johnson Center. The mere fact they were coming over to play with the normies shows how much they truly embraced being at UK and was trying to soak up their final days as a student once the pro decision was made. They could have easily just ran games in the Craft center or the seaton center w other UK athletes
I haven'tYou ever listen to Wall on the “Run Your Race” podcast?
I recommend it. He hits on some stuff with the recruitment of that class.I haven't
Yeah. I listened. I know that’s what he said here and that was absolutely the plan coming from high school/during his recruitment. But he has also spoke in other interviews that after the season ended he and cousins both really considered a potential return before their “exit interview” with Cal where he advise them “if you want to take care of my family then come back, if you want to take care of yours then leave”.Not sure if you listed to this, but Wall says he was leaving after one year no doubt, and this was known from the jump.
