The 2024-25 College Football Playoff will consist of the Fiesta, Peach, Rose and Sugar Bowls in the quarterfinals — with the No. 1 team owning the right to pick which of the four sites they want to play at. The CFP semifinals will be played at the Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowl.

First rd winners

SMU
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Texas

Quarters
Texas over Arizona State
Ohio State over Oregon
Boise over SMU
Georgia over Notre Dame

Semis for me will depend on QB. If Arch Manning comes in then I’ll say Texas comes out of the top but I think this is going to be Ohio State and Georgia in the finals.

College football playoff should adopt the nfl format of lowest ranked team goes to the highest seed in the second round.

I think going forward the top 4 seeds should be the top 4 ranked teams regardless of conference affiliation. It led to some weird bracketing this year. Not sure when that will get fixed but have to figure it's going to happen soon.

I'm fine with SMU over Bama for the last spot just because it wouldn't be fair to penalize a team that had to play a conference title game vs. a team that didn't play one. Clemson pulled off arguably the first playoff "bid steal" yesterday in the ACC title game.

I agree. Maybe top 2 seeds go to conference Champs. But 4 is really going to lead to some ridiculous unfair brackets one day

Texas
OSU
Penn State
ND

Texas
Oregon (in a close one)
Penn St
UGA (idk how far they can go without Beck though but i sont trust nd or penn state)

Oregon
UGA

OREGON

No way all this happens but this isn't March madness. Think the better teams will advance.

Third highest ranked conference champion. Remember that the top 4 seeds are reserved for conference champs.

Here is the point. It’s a weak bracket, by rule. I find it hard to cheer for James Franklin, but I will be hoping Boise gets its ass handed to it.

I like the bracket, would feel pretty good about our chances with Beck, but tough replacing a 2 year starter at this time of the year. But he presents a different issue, Beck didnt luke running, Stockton does, or did anyway. But he will get 3 weeks with the 1's and if the defense shows we got a shot.

I think the Vols will be all osu wants and Texas is going to beat CU.

Now hearing Beck may not be as bad as first thought and he may play. So I have no idea.
