Does anyone know if there is a reason why the player's tours are basically (or entirely) within the state of Ky? Great opportunity for fans all across the state to meet and greet, which is important since UK IS the state university, but I have no doubt that if the player tour went to a number of cities outside the state, that the crowds would be as large (or larger based on the city) than many of the stops they have now. Cities like Cincy, Dayton, N'ville, the tri-cities area of Tn...even somewhere like an Atlanta with a strong SEC base and large UK alumni association.
Of course, they're still in college and have classes to attend so it's not like they have unlimited time to travel. But I was wondering if there may be some type of NCAA rule regarding these types of tours (if indeed the NCAA is even involved since technically they are no longer college players).
