What are your expectations of him.I can see him playing both forward spots and at the sg if needed. My favorite player from the incoming class.

Definitely will Play both imo. Really like his game. Gonna be fun to see all the different ways Cal will use these kids. Very versatile forwards for next year.

How are you doing smooth? Here is my take.......A heck of a forward. He likes to talk trash but he will back it up, get in the opponent's head. Runs the floor and around 6'8", has long arms and handles the rock solidly . Nice looking jump shot but he needs to practice free-throws the only dent in his armor. Can rebound and flushes it with power and authority. Very good passer and like must of our new team a crowd favorite to be.

Love his game. 6'8 with a 7'2 wing span.
Handle pretty good, can pass it and has a nasty side to him.
Will be great to see how cal blends all these guys

^^^^ very good comparison . white was a little heavier but very similar. Washington will play a ton of minutes.

Johnson has a great skill set. He was almost a point forward in high school. Hard to believe one team could be bringing in 3 forwards as versatile as UK is bringing in.

We finally have multiple size players / position players that can handle the ball well enough to drive the lane from the perimeter. As much as I loved Alex, he flat could not do it. Derek never did it consistently. Washington, JV and Knox all have the handles to do this. Plus, they can all shoot it a bit from the outside. This may very well be Cal's most versatile team. Could be an exciting bunch to watch. Especially since we have a point guard who loves to get others the ball. Give us the rim protector in Bamba, and I will take this team versus the field in March.

Washington has one of the weirdest gifts for a guy his size: steals. That 7'2" wingspan is deceptive and he gets a hand on everything. He has the potential to be an elite defender in addition to his scoring talent. Will never play a spot smaller than SF, though. Just doesn't have the handles or quickness for anything other than 3/4. Very excited to have him, though. I think he will pleasantly surprise a lot of fans who don't know anything about him going into the season.

PJ Washington and Jarred Vanderbilt are the most underrated players in Kentucky's class. I watched Washington play in the ASGs. He runs the floor, plays well in transition, has strong offensive skills, rebounds better than any other high school senior I saw this year. There is a good chance that Washington will be our best player. Washington is a stretch 4 who can play some 3 in certain kinds of matchups.
